RSS 3 Extension Page

This page hosts the extension modules accepted as a recommended though separate part of the RSS 3 class of standards.

Modules are sets of extra features to be implemented in an RSS 3 document. This page lists the accepted modules for implementation in interested UAs.

How to Create and Sumbit a Module

Every module is considered a stand-alone specification meant to be interpreted in relation to the RSS 3 standard and must comply to the following rules:

• The module must use the terminology specified in the RSS 3 Terminology Page; In case a term not specified in that page is being used it must be decalred in a Terminology Section in the module
• The module must use a namespace; In the submitted module the namespace ought to be written as "#namespace#" (sans the quote marks) and upon publication of the module, if at all, it shall be replaced with its proper namespace
• The module must be valid XML (though it may use CDATA content)
• The module must provide a title, version number and description of use, in addition to its specification
• The module's specification must consist of at least an Introduction and the main section detailing the syntax and use of the new features

The right to refuse publication and/or make alterations to the module before publication is reserved. All modules must be served under the Attribution/Share-Alike Common License.
