Welcome to the RSS Version 3 Specifications page. In this page you will find links and instruction concerning the RSS 3 Standard specifications and the RCDL and RRDL specifications.

Available Specifications

These are the available specifications proposed by this site. Note that the first specification, RSS 3 Lite, can be considered as a derivative of the RSS 3 Full specification, both considered as overlapping parts of the RSS Version 3 Standard. The RCDL and RRDL standards are separate, though highly related standards.

All of the following specifications comply with the RSS 3 Requirements, and it is highly recommended to read the Requirements before proceeding to the following specifications.

1. RSS Version 3
   • RSS 3.0 Lite (Initial Draft)
   • RSS 3.0 Full (in preparation)
2. RSS Category Declaration Language (RCDL) Version 1.0 (in preparation)
3. RSS Rating Description Language (RRDL) Version 1.0 (in preparation)

Intermediate Versions

This section contains the intermediate versions between a specification's phase (i.e., Initial Draft up to Final Standard) for general consideration. Note that these are all non-normative or informative, rather than meant for embedding and implementing.
